Charlotte > Yes, those are bison. This scene, with the beautiful yellow flowers and hundreds of bison against the snow-covered mountains, typifies Yellowstone of 2008.

Charlotte > ...and we saw black bears, lots of black bears.

Charlotte > This black bear and a companion hung out by the petrified tree.

Charlotte > While this black bear was too far away to get a nice shot, I did get him scratching his back. He really enjoyed it, too. In fact, after leaving the tree, he came back and did it all over again.

Charlotte > As we watched six wolves and a grizzly take turns at a carcass in Lamar Valley, this badger walked maybe 15 feet in front of us.

Charlotte > ...at least, it was AFTER he drank.
