Charlotte > A Dusting of Snow
We got snow often in Yellowstone. Sometimes fairly heavy, sometimes just enough to make things look nice.
Charlotte > Wolverine Trap
If you know where to look, you can find various signs of wildlife study, like this wolverine trap. Wolverines, known to some Indians as "skunk bears", have been known to escape by chewing through six-inch logs.
Charlotte > Trail-riding the Park
Roosevelt Lodge is a jumping-off point for trail rides. They can be exciting, too: A grizzly was sighted near the second large boulder above the center of the line of riders, just moments before I took this shot.

Charlotte > Roosevelt Entrance
This entrance to Roosevelt Lodge - an excellent place to stay or just stop for lunch, by the way - made an Ansel Adams-like picture.
Charlotte > Plowed Road
This is Highway 212 ("Beartooth Highway") through Beartooth Pass, just outside Yellowstone's Northeast Entrance. It's closed 7 1/2 months of the year. Deep snow that completely hides the highway is why.
Charlotte > Permanent Ice
In Ice Box Canyon, some of the ice never melts. The canyon is narrow, and sunlight doesn't get into it much.
